The Brysgaga herd is a closed herd now for more than 25 years. A member of the S.A.C. PREMIUM CATTLE HEALTH SCHEME, since 2001.

The farm is Farm Assured under FAWL membership number 7246. This involves an inspection every 18 months to check that good farming practices are maintained. Brysgaga has never had a case of either BSE or TB. A stock bull is purchased every 3 - 4 years to bring fresh bloodlines into the herd. Herd health history and fertility has become a top priority when choosing a suitable bull.
